GIBBONS FAMILY BIOGRAPHY
Down through the years southern gospel music has always had newcomers
to carry on the proud heritage of singing gospel music. The Gibbons Family
will definitely carry on the tradition. Dale and Gayle Gibbons (husband and wife),
and Dennis Jolly make up The Gibbons Family. |

DALE GIBBONS
Dale started singing with his mom when he was very young at their home
church in Ozone, Tennessee. One night Coleman Looper (Coleman was an original
member of the Looper Trio from Monterey, Tennessee) and his family came to Dale's
church in Tennessee, Shortly after, he started playing piano for the Looper's
and the rest is history. It gets in your blood. Dale is frequently asked if
he is a preacher, the answer being yes shows in their powerful style of ministry. |

GAYLE GIBBONS
Gayle is not stranger to Gospel music either, Gayle was raised in a Free
Will Baptist Church where her dad was her pastor for 42 years. Her father Pastor
Norm Livingston has promoted many national music groups. Their family hosted
many gospel groups in concerts, revivals, tent camp meetings, and church services.
He worked with various groups such as the original Happy Goodman's, Inspirations,
the original Hinson's, The Looper Trio, The McKamey's, The Hoskins Family, The
Payne's, Wilburn's, McCruders, and a host of other gospel groups and quartets.
Gayle remembers having The Inspirations and Hinson's in their home. Gayle was acquainted
with Donnie, Ronnie, and James (The Cooke Brothers) before they joined
their mom and dad singing. Hubert and Jeanette were frequently in the state
of Ohio during the early years of their ministry. |

DENNIS JOLLY
This is the first time in the history of The Gibbons Family that
we have ever had a bass singer. We were happy being a trio, but
Dennis has truly been an asset to The Gibbons Family bringing the
fully harmony sound of family mixed group. Before Dennis
joined The Gibbons Family he sang bass for The Diehls. He also
been singing for some time as a Soloist and has recorded his own
solo project. He is well known through out the gospel music
community, not only in Ohio but far reaching into other states as
a gospel music concert promoter and organizer. Dennis is the only
person I have ever known that lives on Easy Street. He
really does, because his house is on Easy Street in Manchester,
Ohio. Dennis has fell in love with The Gibbons Family style of
worship and brings the same energy and excitement as he sings for
the Lord. We blessed to have Dennis join our ministry! |
|
The Gibbons Family has recorded multiple projects and several
videos. Each year their ministry has continued to grow and expand into new areas.
The bible says in Luke 14:23 " And the Lord said unto the servant, Go into
the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled".
As The Gibbons Family travels the highways, their desire is to see the lost
accept Jesus and saints encouraged along the way. The Lord has blessed The Gibbons
Family and continues to open doors in their ministry.
If you ever have the opportunity to be in a church service, singing, revival,
or concert with The Gibbons Family, you will see a group full of enthusiasm
and energy. The Gibbons Family is known for their old-fashioned camp meeting
style singing. If you ever get a chance to see them get ready, you're about
to have church.
